The use of a machine driven vacuum using glass or polycarbonate cups over the body. They are used to lift and decompress the tissue, move lymphatic fluid to clear toxins and reduce inflammation. Treatment typically will cause what appears to be a ‘bruise’, but instead they are cup Petechiae, which is controlled trauma bringing the toxins to the surface via blood. These discolorations last anywhere from 1 day to 1 week. Used to break up scar tissue, release fascia and face cups for decreasing sinus congestion and can prep the face for cosmetic injections. Used at the therapists discretion during appointments.
Medical Massage is used to treat specific areas, assist post surgical scar tissue, acute injury or anyone dealing with a chronic condition that affects muscle and soft tissue. Usually requires multiple appointments.

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization is the use of a blunt edged surgical steel tool on muscle tissue by a Certified Practitioner. Read moreAbout 19 months ago I made one of the greatest decisions of my life, so far. I joined The Sport of Massage team. One day at a continuing education class in Raleigh, Suzie approached me because of my cycling tan lines, asking if I was looking for a job. I was! After a life on the road with the Holowesko Citadel professional cycling team, I was just getting settled into my life in Raleigh. I was not sure what I wanted to do with my life, or what direction I wanted to go with massage therapy, but as soon as I started talking to Suzie I knew I wanted to work for her. I jumped at the opportunity to go visit the office. When I walked in, I knew it was going to be a perfect fit for me. But first, I had to impress Suzie with my massage skills. Massaging Suzie was by far the most nervous I have ever been to give a massage. Luckily, she saw something in me.
